Note: This tool uses browser-based interpolation for upscaling. It increases dimensions but cannot reconstruct missing detail.

• Works best for graphics, screenshots, and illustrations
• Requests high-quality browser image smoothing
• Processing happens entirely in your browser

How do I enlarge an image 2x or 4x?

Choose an image, select a 2x, 3x or 4x scale factor, and download the enlarged PNG. Both width and height are multiplied by that factor using the browser's image smoothing.

  1. Select an image and check its original dimensions.
  2. Choose 2x, 3x or 4x and review the resulting dimensions.
  3. Run the upscaler and inspect the downloaded PNG at its intended display size.

Worked example

Input and settings
An 800 × 600 px image at 2x.
Output
A 1600 × 1200 px PNG. At 4x, the same input becomes 3200 × 2400 px.

Supported behavior and limitations

This tool uses canvas interpolation, not AI detail reconstruction. It cannot recover detail absent from the source. A 4x enlargement creates 16 times as many pixels and can require substantial memory. PNG output can be larger than the original JPEG.

Will enlarging fix a blurry photo?

It increases pixel dimensions and smooths scaling, but does not reconstruct missing detail. Start with the sharpest, largest original you have.

Should I upscale before compressing?

Use the dimensions required for the final placement, then compress if the exported file is too large. Avoid enlargement when the original already has enough pixels.
